Cycling

Scotland has some incredible bike routes so if cycling's your thing then look no further. The Van can be booked with the optional extra of a bike rack and awning for storage. The Van is also the perfect place to rest up and take in the sights after comps and endurance events.

The Grampian Highlands have some spectacular tracks and trailss for all levels of mountain bikers, from hilly mountain climbs around the Munro foothills near Braemar and Ballater. There are many more relaxing trails to offer, which are mainly flat, where you can experience the wildlife of Scotland’s Caledonian forest. We recommend Glen Tanner forest trails (Near Aboyne), the 2 old railway lines out of Aberdeen are the perfect way to get into the countryside and get you off the road, the northern line stretches from Dyce to Fraserburgh and the Deeside line follows the River Dee from  Aberdeen city to Ballater.

Xcountry and downhill mountain biking is very popular in the north east and throughout Scotland. On the outskirts of Aberdeen we have Bennachie, Pitifichie and Kirkhill  which all have xcountry and downhill mountain tracks also Lecht ski centre offer you the chance to get up on the lift up the hill on the ski lift, to save you the climb.

Further away, we also have some very good mountain biking centres Laggan, Golspie Glentress, and great places to take a trip to, in a Vdub camper

If your into Road Cycle you might fancy Ride the North, this is a two day event where you cycle from Inverness to Aberdeen 170 mile cycle challenge through the beautiful scenery of the Grampian Highlands
